North Chelmsford apartments

For an unincorporated village within the established town of Chelmsford, North Chelmsford has no shortage of local pride. This community, affectionately referred to as "NoCho" by its residents, has a greater population than its parent town and while it is governed by Chelmsford municipal leaders, North Chelmsford has its own firehouse, post office, library and zip code. The local high school, Chelmsford High, is also located here but it is operated by the shared Chelmsford School District.

Neighboring Stoney Brook and the Merrimack River, North Chelmsford contains Freeman Lake, a body of water that has had a few different names over the course of history. It was formerly known as Crystal Lake because of the existence of an ice company there early on, but is now best recognized by its current name intended to honor Bruce Freeman, who bankrolled the reconstruction the local dam after it fell in 1970.

North Chelmsford can be reached by way of two exits on U.S. Route 3, and a proposed North Chelmsford commuter rail station could become reality if a planned extension of the Lowell Line to New Hampshire comes to fruition.

A first-level condominium rental on Middlesex Street provides a peek at the kinds of spaces one can expect to find in North Chelmsford. Stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar are part of the allure of the kitchen, a built-in china hutch adds elegance to a formal dining room and a tiled fireplace pulls together the spacious living room.

A two-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom condominium on Scotty Hollow Drive is another example of fine living quarters up for grabs in North Chelmsford. Kick back in the living room next to the warmth of the fireplace or take your morning coffee on the exterior deck, which is easily accessed through a slider off the dining room. Parking is a breeze, with residents having a choice between the use of the heated one car garage or one of two parking spaces at the rear.
